AS YOU PROBABLY KNOW, THE “PORTES DU SOLEIL” IS A FRANCO-SWISS DOMAIN.
As the second largest ski area in the world, our magnificent and immense ski area covers 650km of ski slopes and 196 ski lifts.
During the Christmas holidays, our Swiss neighbors will be able to ski, as opposed to the French.
As a result, the Swiss therefore quickly react, by offering to welcome tourists coming to Chatel for their holidays.
YOU CAN SKI IN SWITZERLAND !
Enrique Caballero, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Portes du Soleil” domain in Switzerland :
We plan to pick up skiers from Chatel and other Portes du Soleil resorts on the French side with buses. We are going to set up “picnic areas”, create the package with transport included, for skiing on the Swiss side. […] The main objective is to be of assistance and to help our French neighbors of the Portes du Soleil.
Here is the list of the Swiss station of the Portes du Soleil where you will be able to ski :
- Morgins ; from Chatel, 8 minutes by car
From Morgins, will be accessible by ski lift :
- Champoussin
- Les Crozets
